Dr. Rigena Sema ka përfunduar studimet universitare në Matematikë pranë Departamentit të Matematikës, Fakulteti i Shkencave të Natyrës (1999-2004). Aktualisht është Lektore e parë në grupin e Algjebër dhe Tepri e numrave pranë Departamentit të Matematikës, Fakulteti i Shkencave të Natyrës,Universiteti i Tiranës (2004-vazhdim). Ajo mban gradën Doktor i Shkencave që prej Janar 2015. Fushat e saj të mësimdhënies dhe kërkimit shkencor përfshijnë :Algjebër lineare, Algjebër Abstrakte dhe Zbatime të Algjebrës.
