Prof. Asoc. Markela Muça ka përfunduar arsimin e lartë në departamentin e matemetikës “Aristotelio” Selanik, Greqi në drejtimin matematikë e aplikuar në vitin 2001. Në vitet 2002-2004, ka punuar në zyrën e informatikës pranë fakultetit të Informatikës “Aristotelio”. Gjatë këtyre viteve eshte marrë me paketën e matematikës “MatLab” dhe me paketën statistike “SPSS”. Me konkretisht eshte marrë me drejtimin e studenteve në zgjidhjen e ushtrimeve me perdorimin e paketes matematike “MatLab” si dhe ka ofruar metoda pune në lëndën ‘’Matematikë e larte I’’ me korrigjim ushtrimesh dhe orientimin e studenteve. Po në këtë periudhë ka marre pjesë si vëzhguese në të gjitha sesonet e provimeve dhe eshte aktivizuar me korrigjimin e tyre. Gjithashtu, theks të veçantë i ka kushtuar zbatimit të metodave të përparuara statistike me të dhëna rreth përdorimit të paketës “SPSS”. Në vitin 2005, u emërua asistent pedagoge në Departamentin e Matematikës dhe Informatikës pranë Universitetit Politeknik Tirane (UPT). Në vitin 2008, u emërua asistent pedagoge në Departamentin e Matematikës, drejtimi Probabilitet dhe Statistikë ku zhvilloi leksione e seminare në DNP dhe kryesisht në DND. Në vitin 2008, mbaroi studimet pasuniversitare SHPU, në Departamentin e Matematikës, Fakulteti i Shkencave Natyrore, Universiteti i Tiranës, drejtimi Probabilitet, Statistikë dhe Zbatime. Aktualisht është Lektore e parë në grupin mesimor-kerkimor Probabilitet dhe Statistikë pranë Departamentit të Matematikës së Aplikuar, Fakulteti i Shkencave të Natyrës, Universiteti i Tiranës . Ajo mban gradën Doktor i Shkencave që prej Qershor 2014. Fusha e kerkimit shkencor të saj është statistike dhe analize statistikore shumepermasore (Data science, Machine learning) , modelime dhe zbatime ne disa fusha.
